About The Position

Greenheck Group is seeking a highly motivated Engineering student for an Engineering Co-op position in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This co-op offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of several functional areas: Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, or Application Engineering. The program runs for 8 months, either from January to August or May to December. As an intern, you will be an important part of your team, collaborating across the organization, building your network with other college students, and receiving meaningful feedback and coaching. You will also have opportunities to learn about different areas of the business through "Fundamental Fridays" and connect with company leaders at the end of your term. Additionally, you can make a difference through company-sponsored volunteer opportunities.

Requirements

Enrollment in a related bachelor’s degree program (Mechanical, Industrial, Technology, Manufacturing or Applied Engineering etc.).
On track to graduate in the next 3 semesters or less.
Interest in hands-on learning.
Curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Experience working with basic hand tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to support customer-focused solutions.

Experience with 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

Building prototypes, conducting tests, and documenting results (Test Engineering).
Developing new products, redesigns, and customer-driven requests (Test Engineering).
Supporting daily production by creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (Manufacturing Engineering).
Troubleshooting machines and driving continuous improvement initiatives (Manufacturing Engineering).
Contributing to layout design and process development to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety (Manufacturing Engineering).
Guiding products from initial concept to market launch (Product Engineering).
Designing, testing, and overseeing the production of new and existing products (Product Engineering).
Ensuring products meet market needs and company goals (Product Engineering).
Conducting market research, analyzing customer needs, and assisting with product selection software design and testing (Application Engineering).
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve products, develop training and marketing materials, and contribute to product strategy (Application Engineering).
