  • Currently enrolled in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, or a related co-op post-secondary degree program
  • Strong interest in semiconductor devices, experimental measurements, applied physics, or display technology
  • Experience with or interest in Python for data analysis, visualization, or automation
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment using probes, measurement instruments, and experimental setups
  • Naturally curious and motivated to research, explore, and figure things out independently
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects and running with ideas from concept through execution
  • Confident working with direction but without requiring constant step-by-step instruction
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in both design and troubleshooting
  • Ability to document technical workflows and communicate findings clearly
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to take initiative

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with parametric analyzers or laboratory test equipment (e.g., Keithley, Agilent, or similar)
  • Familiarity with semiconductor concepts such as diodes, transistors, Hall effect, or device characterization
  • Prior experience with lab automation, experimental measurements, or hands-on electronics work
  • Interest in display technology, thin films, semiconductor devices, or device physics

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test measurement techniques for semiconductor devices, including electrical probe methods and stability testing for thin-film transistors (TFTs)
  • Work hands-on in the lab setting up experiments and configuring measurement equipment
  • Analyze data using Python, including creating scripts for plotting, visualization, and automation
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to better understand device physics and translate concepts into practical testing procedures
  • Research background theory and measurement methods to support experimental design and troubleshooting
  • Assist with equipment selection, test planning, and adapting existing experimental setups
  • Document experimental procedures, technical findings, and data analysis results
  • Support ongoing development and optimization of advanced display technologies
