About The Position
As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for Engineering Interns to join our team in Melville, NY. This role is hybrid - 3 days a week on-site.
Requirements
- Rising senior currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in: Materials Science / Biochem / Electrical / Mechanical / Chemistry or related major
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must have indefinite right to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Apply chemistry and materials science knowledge to review and interpret analytical laboratory data, compare results with established material information, and support material identification and ongoing surveillance of certified materials and products.
- Learn how wire and cable products are evaluated and maintained under certification by reviewing product constructions and materials, determining applicable evaluation and test requirements, analyzing laboratory results, and supporting ongoing surveillance activities to help confirm continued compliance.
- Learn how polymeric materials are evaluated and maintained under certification by reviewing material properties and technical documentation, determining appropriate evaluation and test requirements, analyzing laboratory results, and supporting ongoing surveillance activities to help confirm continued compliance.
