About The Position

Our New Product Development department is seeking an engineer to join our team.   Qualifications New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) is a leading manufacturer of precision bearings and complex bearing assemblies for the aerospace, defense, medical, dental, and high technology markets. Requirements

  • Automation knowledge or machine design background / skills preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing areas and capabilities.
  • Strong problem solving skills, with proficiency in process troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office – especially with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SolidWorks.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing engineering, R&D engineering or Machine Design/Automation Systems (turning, milling, grinding).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field, Masters preferred.
  • Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Physically able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Must also be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, grab, twist, carry, push and pull as required to carry out job functions.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
  • Employees must also demonstrate good interpersonal skills, attitude and professionalism, acceptable attendance and work behaviors.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and recommend new processes and/or equipment to support strategic objectives.
  • Lead and support technical initiatives and tasks.
  • Coordinate and work with manufacturing teams to design and develop systems.
  • Work directly with customers on testing, development and strategic initiatives.
  • Create and manage project schedule – coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders.
