About The Position

The purpose of this role is to collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. This position, at the Assistant Vice President level, involves advising and influencing decision making, contributing to policy development, and taking responsibility for operational effectiveness. It requires close collaboration with other functions/business divisions. For People Leaders, expectations include leading a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills, setting objectives, coaching employees, appraising performance, and demonstrating LEAD behaviours (Listen and be authentic, Energise and inspire, Align across the enterprise, Develop others). For individual contributors, the role involves leading collaborative assignments, guiding team members through structured assignments, identifying the need for inclusion of other areas of specialisation, identifying new directions for assignments/projects, and identifying cross-functional methodologies. Both People Leaders and individual contributors are expected to consult on complex issues, provide advice to support the resolution of escalated issues, identify ways to mitigate risk, develop new policies/procedures for control and governance, take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls, understand how different areas coordinate, collaborate with other areas, engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources, communicate complex information, and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
  • Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
  • Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
  • Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
