About The Position

The City of Barberton is hiring an Engineer for a classified position in the Department of Public Service. The position directs the activities of the Engineering Division, develops and supervises public works projects, and supervises the operations and activities of the City Engineer’s office. The role reports directly to the Director of Public Service. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Considerable experience in the practice of civil engineering, including municipal engineering experience.
• Knowledge of civil engineering and surveying principles and practices as applied to the development, construction, and maintenance of engineering projects.
• Knowledge of the public works interrelationships of subdivisions, utilities, street systems, and storm water.
• Knowledge of public works administration principles and practices.
• Submit a completed City of Barberton employment application and resume.
