About The Position

Performs a variety of engineering work including such areas as design, production manufacturing, test, calibration and efficiency. As required by the business, works with various products, equipment and disciplines to increase production, quality, efficiency, volume and/or environmental suitability. Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Gathers, coordinates and applies basic engineering data using established and appropriate or defined engineering principles and procedures. Applies area of specialty to design, develop, implement and maintain creative and innovative solutions to difficult problems. Reviews progress with management and recommends corrective action along with review of alternatives. Has limited interaction with customers under supervision. Creates and maintains component drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) and process routings for product designs. Provides Engineering and technical support to production, purchasing, marketing, and customers.

Requirements

  • Experience in any 3D CAD software is a requirement.
  • Experience creating/interpreting 2D drawings is a requirement.
  • BSME or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree from ABET accredited school or equivalent, may have a master’s degree and may be a registered professional engineer.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.

Nice To Haves

  • knowledge of modeling experience in Creo/Pro-E is preferred.
