The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) is a government agency dedicated to protecting water resources, minimizing flood risks, and ensuring the public's water needs are met for nearly 6 million people in west-central Florida. Within the Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) Bureau, this role supports the ERP Compliance Section by conducting professional-level technical and administrative engineering work. The successful candidate will focus on post-permitting compliance, with close coordination with the ERP Evaluation Section. This position applies engineering principles, project management, scientific findings, and environmental laws to evaluate, plan, design, and complete water-related projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. The District offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring a portion of time on-site and a portion remotely, with the expectation that employees live in Florida.
