About The Position

This role involves assisting with hotel maintenance, including minor repairs in painting, plumbing, and electrical systems. The engineer will be responsible for replacing air conditioner filters, tending to the furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to ensure guest comfort with heat, cool air, and hot water. Additionally, the position requires maintaining pool area standards, including chemical balancing and cleaning. A key aspect of the role is enhancing guest satisfaction through exceptional service delivery and employee development, responding to guest requests, complaints, and questions courteously and promptly. The engineer must possess comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions, as well as applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations. Good mathematical and computer skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
• Replace air conditioner filters.
• Tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
• Maintain standards of quality guest service.
• Tend to pool area including chemical balancing, cleaning, etc.
• Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.
• Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
