About The Position

The Engineer at Caravan Court responds to maintenance guest requests and facilitates preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas. Valencia Hotel Group is a collection of hotels created for today’s passionate traveler, each of our hotels are intentionally built to showcase modern design and classic character. Requirements

• Familiarity with door entry system
• Familiarity with Small appliances (TV, Steamer, Safe, Hair Dryer)
• Familiarity with Large appliances (Boilers, Washers, Dryers, Pool Pump, Irrigation)
• Familiarity with HVAC
• Familiarity with Plumbing
• Familiarity with Electrical
• Familiarity with Carpentry
• Familiarity with Refrigeration
• Familiarity with Fire system
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
• Intermediate knowledge of power tools
• Intermediate knowledge of general maintenance
• Prior hotel maintenance experience. Minimum 2 years

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance guest requests.
• Facilitate preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Anticipate and attend to guest needs during interactions.
• Be proactive when attending to guests.
• Attend and contribute to department meetings.
• Participate in cross training.
• Complete all required trainings.
• Facilitate all internal communications and follow up accordingly.
• Run all reports necessary to the operation.
• Complete full shift pass on reports and checklists.
• Log all maintenance work in appropriate platforms.
• Adhere to all safety and security guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
• Display courteous behavior with guests and team members.
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
