About The Position

Airgroup Dynamics is seeking an experienced Engineer to lead in the development, design, and implementation of aerospace test equipment and repair capabilities. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing engineering personnel while actively participating in the design, development, troubleshooting, and implementation of FAA-compliant test equipment and repair capabilities. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys innovation, continuous improvement, and collaborating across departments to support production and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum of two years of engineering management experience.
  • Minimum of four years of FAA Repair Station engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of FAA and EASA regulations.
  • Experience analyzing OEM technical manuals and designing equivalent tooling and test equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems to the component level.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and engineering design tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engineering projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience developing technical documentation and training materials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Engineering Department, including engineers and engineering assistants.
  • Ensure tooling, equipment, and engineering systems comply with FAA, EASA, and company regulatory requirements.
  • Design, develop, and implement new aerospace repair capabilities.
  • Analyze OEM technical manuals and develop equivalent tooling and test equipment in accordance with FAA equivalency requirements.
  • Design, build, and troubleshoot electronic test equipment, circuit boards, test panels, and specialized tooling.
  • Plan and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of engineering equipment and facilities.
  • Develop engineering documentation, operation manuals, reliability reports, and technical procedures.
  • Complete FAA and EASA capability self-evaluations.
  • Maintain engineering files, tooling records, and technical documentation.
  • Manage engineering budgets, departmental planning, and project timelines.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate engineering personnel.
  • Develop technical training programs for production and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to production and maintenance teams.
  • Research emerging aerospace technologies and implement new repair capabilities.
