About The Position

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Water Resources group in our Columbus office. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (freshman or sophomore status preferred) and possess a valid driver’s license. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required and knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred. Candidates must be self-motivated, very organized and have excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Valid Driver’s License
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

• Freshman or sophomore status preferred
• Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations under senior engineer
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities
• Perform data analysis of continuous flow and rainfall data
• Copy and scan project related drawings
• Assist engineer with development of spreadsheet tools
• Ability to work with project managers and engineers and take direction from them
• Work with the Planning department
• Work with the Design (structural) department
• Work with the Hydraulic and Hydrology department
• Communicate effectively with engineering staff and clients
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment
