About The Position

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for their Community Design group in their Tampa office. This role involves supporting senior engineers with various tasks, including calculations, data analysis, and document management. The intern will collaborate with project managers and different engineering departments, contributing to client relations and maintaining a safe working environment. The position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in civil or environmental engineering within a supportive and innovative company culture.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (freshman or sophomore status preferred)
• Possess valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Self-motivated
• Very organized
• Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of GIS
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Knowledge of MicroStation
• Knowledge of Revit

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations under senior engineer
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities
• Perform data analysis of continuous flow and rainfall data
• Copy and scan project related drawings
• Assist engineer with development of spreadsheet tools
• Ability to work with project managers and engineers and take direction from them
• Work with the Planning department
• Work with the Design (structural) department
• Work with the Hydraulic and Hydrology department
• Communicate effectively with engineering staff and clients
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment
