About The Position

As a hands-on senior engineer on FIS’s Frontend Platform team, you will develop the shared platform that engineers across FIS use to create web and mobile customer experiences. The team builds design systems, front-end frameworks, delivery tooling, and AI-agent tooling as part of Platform Engineering’s AI-first direction. You will design and build shared components and frameworks, support product teams in adopting them, use AI coding tools in your daily work, and promote high engineering quality through example and mentorship.

Requirements

Deep experience building front-end applications with modern frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
Experience building component libraries, design systems, or shared frameworks used by other engineers.
Strong grasp of accessibility, performance, and testing in production web applications.
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and a point of view on how they change engineering work.
Clear communication and ability to work closely with designers, product teams, and other engineers.

Nice To Haves

Experience in banking, payments, or financial services.
Experience with MUI or theming systems for multi-brand products.
Experience with design tokens or design-to-code workflows.
Experience with React Native or cross-platform UI.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve shared UI components, frameworks, and tooling used by product teams across FIS.
Build accessibility, multi-brand theming, and analytics into platform capabilities by default.
Work directly with product teams to support platform adoption and migration away from older technology.
Build rules, skills, and tooling that help AI coding agents produce consistent, on-brand code.
Review code, mentor engineers, and raise the quality bar by example.
