The role is for a Seasonal Pool Engineer, part of the Engineering team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, quality, and safety of the resort pools. This includes daily cleaning tasks such as skimming, debris removal, vacuuming, and brushing, as well as checking and treating pH and chlorine levels. The position also involves visual inspections of equipment and reporting concerns. This role requires working the overnight shift to ensure pools are ready for daily operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Ability to achieve a CPO license within 60 days
  • Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical and plumbing as it relates to pool operations.
  • Computer proficiency to be able to use software designed for work orders and recording pool chemical measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness, quality and safety of the resort pools at all times.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of the pool, skimming the surface, removing debris, vacuuming the pool floor, and brushing walls and tiles.
  • Check the pH and chlorine levels & treat as needed to ensure the water is balanced for the enjoyment and safety of resort guests.
  • Perform visual inspections of the equipment during cleaning and report any concerns immediately to Waterpark Engineer.
  • Communicate with the Assistant Director of Engineering and Waterpark Engineering Supervisor regarding all aspects of waterpark engineering operations.
  • Inspect and document waterpark, equipment, hazards, systems, and general engineering operation.
  • Maintain work areas clean and organized.
  • Prioritize all work requests ensuring handling of guest problems, staff problems and inner waterpark challenges.
  • Report and resolve all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Inspect the pools and features and maintain and make any necessary repairs.
  • Perform daily chemical checks to ensure operating within the proper parameters.
  • Make corrections immediately if necessary regarding chemical levels.
  • Maintain and repair all waterpark equipment.
  • Complete other duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
