This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Job Overview As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems to ensure products and processes meet company standards and customer requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations through quality planning, inspection, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma)
  • Experience with quality management systems and industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CSSBB)
  • Master's degree in Quality, Engineering or related field
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of automated inspection systems and CMM programming
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality management systems in compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100)
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues
  • Create and review quality documentation including control plans, inspection procedures, and test methods
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Conduct internal audits and support external customer/regulatory audits
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns during design and production
