About The Position

The Engineer within the Protective Systems Testing, Commissioning group will develop, organize, document, and direct all commissioning activities related to relay protection and control systems for assigned capital projects and maintenance activities. Additionally, will support and provide guidance to other engineers on commissioning aspects of other projects. This will involve indirect supervision of Company technicians and mechanics as well as direct supervision of a team of engineering inspectors overseeing contractors. The Engineer will plan and schedule required testing of relay protection and control systems, while coordinating with other operations, maintenance, and construction departments. Additionally, will develop and maintain all procedures and processes necessary for safe and reliable commissioning activities. The Engineer will provide support and guidance to customers in various departments (i.e., Substation Operations, System & Transmission Operations, Central Engineering, and Electric Operations) before, during, and after the commissioning phase for each project.
