About The Position
Establish process routings for both new and old designed parts through the production steps in the manufacturing facility. Establish the setup, run and standard times for the production of parts. Determine the weld wire and paint usage for production parts. Request tooling be purchased or made in house when necessary. Evaluate prints for manufacturability, correctness of tolerance and overall correctness. Quote labor requirement for new business and request tooling quotes for new business. Solve production problems as required. Investigate labor time variances as required.
Requirements
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and equipment used in the heavy metal fabrication and machining industry.
- Able to use a computer for inquiry use and to use software for calculating labor standards.
- Proficient at reading blueprints.
- Good math and analytical skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Reliable.
- Flexible.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Self-motivated.
