About The Position

Valeo is a global tech company focused on developing innovative mobility solutions. As a Process/Manufacturing Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing production efficiency, leading the industrialization of new products, and standardizing industrial processes. This role involves designing new equipment, leading Lean design workshops, and ensuring the smooth introduction and validation of production equipment. You will also be responsible for monitoring production performance, reducing cycle times, supporting production technicians, and collaborating with suppliers. A key aspect of this role is ensuring adherence to safety and environmental procedures, maintaining 5S standards, and promoting group standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in lean manufacturing practices
  • Automotive industry experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Improve production efficiency (machine & Direct Labor)
  • Lead the industrialization of new products
  • Capitalize and share know-how of industrial processes
  • Participate in the design of new equipment and new lines
  • Lead Lean design workshops
  • Manage production equipment introduction using IPROM
  • Follow equipment or assembly lines development with the supplier
  • Design small tools and validate supplier proposals
  • Define acceptance criteria for new equipment or line
  • Perform pre-acceptance and acceptance of equipment
  • Perform trials on lines and deliver reports
  • Build action plans and follow up
  • Perform and/or collect capabilities of equipment and process
  • Set up equipment and propose PROCESS VALIDATION PLAN
  • Participate in PFMEA and CONTROL PLAN
  • Monitor QCDM and propose improvements
  • Survey equipment performance and optimize it
  • Work on Cycle time reduction to optimize investments, material & labor costs
  • Update routing on Information system with SPV validation
  • Support production technicians (training, analysis, problem solving)
  • Be in contact with suppliers (improvement, support)
  • Participate in SPV workshops
  • Participate in APU QRQC
  • Validate any change of standard proposed by sites
  • Know, apply and promote the standards (PG, sites or corporate) in his domain
  • Apply the SPV rules
  • Ensure the respect of Safety and Environment procedures of the Valeo Group
  • Maintain the 5S and report issues
  • Alert for safety rules infringement
