Lilly is investing $4.5 billion to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. This facility will combine research and manufacturing to optimize processes, increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. The Sr. Engineer - Process Safety will support the implementation of process safety management at the Lilly Medicine Foundry, focusing on operational readiness and ongoing compliance. It is designed as a development role for a process engineer or an early-career process safety engineer, offering opportunities to deepen expertise in compliance while gaining exposure to API manufacturing chemistry and equipment across all Lilly platforms. The diverse range of chemistry handled at the Foundry provides extensive process safety experience. Mentorship is available from the site PSM lead and Process Engineering, with access to the Lilly Globally Integrated Process Safety Management Technical Team and the Global HSE community.
