Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Supply chain, Information Technology.
  • Experience in simulation and model building
  • Should have demonstrated knowledge about manufacturing processes in a steel producer/processor industry or similar manufacturing environment
  • Project management skills needed (i.e. project plan development and tracking, issue resolution, risk mitigation, metrics development and tracking)
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and displays a high degree of professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Have a key role in the design, planning, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment
  • Responsible for operational excellence through simulating smart object models, programming task-specific tools, analyzing data, and optimizing resources
  • Ensures continuous improvements in all areas of operation by researching and proposing solutions that improve safety, process, cost, and quality
  • Must be willing to take the initiative and leadership to investigate issues and provide an input to resolve them
  • Will be involved in capital expenditure projects and strategic decision-making
  • Provides necessary coordination, facilitating interactive analysis and design sessions with representatives of business line and functional units
  • Provides guidance to business and functional units in developing tests and training plans and materials
  • Provides day-to-day user support, as well as drives improved user productivity through developing and implementing new business process and systems solutions
