About The Position

Requirements

  • One to three years of related experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in an overhaul and repair operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees, suppliers and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with team environment.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; expertise in AutoCAD required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology (6-sigma, 6-S, Continuous Improvement) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review deviations and apply fundamental engineering principles to solve technical problems in collaboration with operations and engineering team.
  • Interpret repair requirements and implement repair techniques in adherence with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop new repair techniques to reduce shop floor hours and improve throughput.
  • Support shop with special processes such as: EB Weld, Heat Treatment, Plasma, and Water Jet Strip.
  • Assist in review of work instructions for adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Root Cause Corrective action process to investigate internal and external warranties.
  • Mentor/Train shop floor personnel on process standards and repair techniques.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams on process control, improvement, and optimization projects; participate in other BES activities (i.e. Kaizen, Baseline, Production, and Preparation Process (3P)).
