About The Position

To ensure a safe manufacturing environment, our Occupational Health and Safety Engineering team plays a crucial role in hazard prevention, conducting safety audits, providing training, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. In this position, the Engineer, Occupational Safety, working under general direction, working as a contributing team member, is responsible for applying technical safety standards, principles, theories, and concepts, to independently develop approaches to solutions for a wide range of difficult occupational safety problems such as hazard control and prevention, safety systems and equipment, compliance, risk, etc. with consistency in a timely manner. The role coordinates with other team members to implement plant-wide safety processes such as the Company’s Safety Operating System (SOS), emergency response planning, safety training, and the application of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts. The role would also work with senior engineers and managers to contribute to the completion of milestones within specific projects as per function priorities.
