About The Position

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. This position will support facilities projects and engineering team in either the plant engineering, project engineering, or crane engineering team. Candidate shall demonstrate solid knowledge of applicable regulations, codes and standards for this position. Candidate shall possess the ability to create (basic) mechanical designs with minimal oversight from a senior engineer as well have experience evaluating, maintaining and performing troubleshooting on moderately complex utility systems, building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and industrial equipment. Candidate shall be capable of developing project execution documents for estimating and planning and capable of implementing mechanical projects with team support. These projects support facilities engineering in in facility infrastructure (utility systems), building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and industrial equipment. The candidate shall be capable of solving problems in an organized manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program

Nice To Haves

  • Basic MS Office suit and AutoCAD skills are needed (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, peers and customers
  • Basic understanding of electrical equipment and system interfaces with mechanical systems
  • Understanding of simple electrical and structural drawings
  • Basic understanding of project scheduling tools
