About The Position

This position will support facilities projects and engineering team in either the plant engineering, project engineering, or crane engineering team. Candidate shall demonstrate knowledge of applicable regulations, codes and standards for this position. Candidate shall possess the ability to create basic mechanical designs with oversight from a senior engineer as well have experience evaluating, maintaining and performing basic troubleshooting on utility systems, building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and industrial equipment. Candidate shall be capable of supporting project execution in estimating, planning and implementation. These projects support facilities engineering in facility infrastructure (utility systems), building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc) and industrial equipment specification, maintenance and repair. The candidate shall be capable of solving problems in an organized manner.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
2 years of relevant exempt experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
0 year of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree.
Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes and standards.
Ability to create basic mechanical designs with oversight from a senior engineer.
Experience evaluating, maintaining and performing basic troubleshooting on utility systems, building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and industrial equipment.
Capability of supporting project execution in estimating, planning and implementation.
Capability of solving problems in an organized manner.

Basic MS Office suit and AutoCAD skills.
Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, peers and customers.
Skills that will developed as part of this position are in-depth knowledge of increasingly more complex mechanical systems with oversight, drafting of project documentation with oversight and assisting in project implementation.

Responsibilities

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
Support facilities projects and engineering team in either the plant engineering, project engineering, or crane engineering team.
Create basic mechanical designs with oversight from a senior engineer.
Evaluate, maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on utility systems, building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and industrial equipment.
Support project execution in estimating, planning and implementation.
Solve problems in an organized manner.
