About The Position

The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is an onsite member of the Engineered Fasteners team at a cold heading manufacturing plant with approximately 170 employees. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational uptime, partnering with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and Engineering to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective production through preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or manufacturing engineering in an industrial environment.
• Experience with CMMS, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in cold heading, metal forming, fastener manufacturing, machining, or similar high-volume manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Improve reliability and uptime of cold heading equipment and supporting plant assets.
• Analyze equipment failures and downtime trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, optimize, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Maintain accurate asset and maintenance data in the CMMS.
• Track and report reliability metrics, including uptime, MTBF, and MTTR.
• Support spare parts strategy and maintenance planning effectiveness.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement, OEE, and equipment performance initiatives.
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new equipment implementation.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
