Requirements

Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field for entire duration of internship

Nice To Haves

Strong mechanical aptitude
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to read hydraulic symbols and schematics
Previous internship experience or work-related experience
Experience using SolidWorks or a similar CAD system
Formula SAE, Baja SAE, SAE Clean Snowmobile or other similar club experience

Responsibilities

Follow project on the assembly floor and provide technical assistance
Evaluate new designs and identify potential improvements
Lead cross-functional design reviews to optimize design
Evaluate, update, and design hydraulic circuits
Design, model, and test new mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to refine system control and performance
Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.
Perform or assist in the testing of complete vehicles or vehicle components
Create and manage ECN’s (Engineering Change Notices)
Update bill of materials in the PDM (Product Data Management) system to reflect changes
Review test and field systems failures and determine root cause
