About The Position

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) for its Atlanta office. This role offers the chance to work on diverse project types utilizing various structural materials, gaining experience in both new building design and existing building investigations/retrofits. The position involves engineering calculations, drawing development, construction administration, and site visits, with opportunities for client interaction early in one's career. While many projects are in Georgia, the company's national reach allows for work on projects across the country. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum in Architectural, Civil, Environmental, Construction, Structural, or related engineering field
Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to work in the Atlanta, GA area.
Has passed FE Examination

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum in Architectural, Civil, Structural, or related engineering field
Knowledge of building and material design codes
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently for extended periods of time
Strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills

Experience using Autodesk Revit to produce building construction documents
Experience analyzing structures using RAM, SAP, ETABS, or RISA
Construction field experience

GPA of 3.5 or higher

Responsibilities

Knowledge and use of computer design and CAD/BIM software
Prepares details and calculations for project components and systems
Learns about products and construction procedures
Prepares and writes reports
Provides field observation during construction
Studies and applies building code and/or jurisdictional requirements
Reviews shop drawings and product submittals
Checks own work
Coordinates work with other disciplines
Acts proactively and proposes potential solutions to problems
Works overtime, when necessary
Other duties as assigned
