About The Position

Quinn Power Systems is accepting resumes for anticipated future Engineer openings. As our Power Systems business continues to grow, we are proactively identifying and interviewing talented engineering professionals who may be a strong fit for upcoming opportunities. Level and compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibility, with an anticipated salary range of $74,000 to $140,000 annually.

Requirements

  • Graduate Engineer BSEE or BSME and four years’ experience or graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent and eight years minimum same or similar work experience or high school education or equivalent and eight years minimum same or similar work experience.
  • Strong background and experience in most types of switchgear testing through the 230 kV class.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and various industry standards, such as OSHA and NFPA.
  • Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Valid international passport or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Successful engineering and project management of customer purchase order contracts, from initial planning through project completion.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Maintaining approved expense and profit budgets.
  • Coordinating project schedules.
  • Ensuring customer commitments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Troubleshooting, testing, inspecting, and supporting the repair of complex electrical power distribution systems, including relay calibration and power metering, in accordance with established procedures and technical guidelines.
  • Operating specialized test equipment.
  • Coordinating electrical system operations.
  • Analyzing technical issues.
  • Working closely with customers, sales, service, and other internal teams.
