Requirements

Bachelor's degree of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent.
Master's Degree in a related field and Professional Engineer License.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience.
Six (6) years of experience.
Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the city's expense.
Must be a registered Professional Engineer with the State of Texas or approved equivalent with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Designing municipal water, sewer, storm drainage, and roadway and traffic systems.
Implementing designs into the City's infrastructure.
Coordinating effectively to resolve design or development issues.
Reviewing reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations for water supply and sewage systems to ensure compliance with industry codes, regulations, and City ordinances.
Reviewing and approving storm water pollution prevention plans for new construction.
Assisting in residential, commercial improvement, and subdivision plats.
Providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed.
