About The Position
Cadrex is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer III with Precision Sheet Metal experience to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years’ experience in a fabrication (precision sheet metal) environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of cutting, punching, bending, and welding processes.
- Skilled in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks.
- Experience with CNC programming and machine operation.
- Familiar with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma.
Responsibilities
- Experienced in precision sheet metal fabrication.
- Optimize fabrication processes to meet quality and performance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, design, production, and quality to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
- Analyze designs for improvements to enhance production capabilities and reduce costs.
- Develop innovative manufacturing techniques to improve throughput and minimize waste.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Program CNC machines (punch, laser, combo) for flat blank processing.
- Create and maintain process routings and bills of materials (BOMs) in ERP systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
