As a Engineer III – Electro-mechanical, you’ll be part of our Power Tools Engineering team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to Design and develop innovative, reliable, and safe electro-mechanical systems and motor controls using 3D modeling and detailed drawings, managing BOMs and documentation in PLM systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product Management, Industrial Design, Reliability, Compliance, Sourcing, Manufacturing) to define product requirements, "Critical to Quality" attributes, and ensure robust product development. Release comprehensive product specifications, RFQ packets, and costed BOMs; partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and timely delivery. Contribute to development of electro-mechanical modules for power electronics and power tool applications supporting both high-mix and low-volume production. Conduct tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA, PFMEA, process control plans, and release engineering changes to support robust product development. Perform engineering analyses (structural, thermal, airflow, FEA), design validation, and advanced testing to optimize product performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement for manufacturing, assembly, and product performance issues. Support manufacturing and DFM initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Support regulatory documentation and reporting. Support multiple projects, meeting schedule, cost, and quality objectives, and provide regular status updates to management. Conduct tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA, PFMEA, process control plans, and release engineering changes to support robust product development.
