About The Position

Ardurra Group, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II in Maitland, FL. This role involves assisting Senior/Chief Highway project engineers in the design and development of road and highway contract plans, specifications, and estimates. The Engineer II will develop feasible design alternatives, compare parameters like typical sections, alignments, right-of-way requirements, and construction costs. Responsibilities include performing standard computations and analysis, supporting the preparation of final design plans and cost estimates, attending design meetings, and coordinating with team members. The candidate will also prepare administrative documents such as letters, spreadsheets, presentations, and project schedules, and maintain design document records. This position is suitable for someone willing to work on fast-paced Design Build projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Experience with DOT and AASHTO Standards
  • Experience with MUTCD
  • Experience with Microstation
  • Experience with AutoTurn
  • Experience with Geopak
  • Experience with Open Roads Designer
  • Experience with Open Bridge
  • Experience with AASHTOWare

Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior/Chief Highway project engineers in the design and development of road and highway contract plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Develop feasible design alternatives and compare parameters such as typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, right-of-way requirements and construction cost.
  • Perform standard computations and analysis and research assignments.
  • Support preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and technical special provisions.
  • Attend design meetings and coordinate with team members.
  • Prepare letters, faxes, spreadsheets, power point presentations, project schedules, and other administrative-related documents.
  • Maintain adequate record of design documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
