About The Position

The Engineer II position requires sufficient experience, education, and job knowledge to meet current business needs. The role demands expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as plumbing, HVAC systems, kitchen equipment maintenance, refrigeration, heating, and carpentry. A license in areas of interest such as electrical, HVAC (including EPA certification), and plumbing is necessary. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, installations, and repairs on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment, building systems, and furniture. The position also involves responding to service calls, maintaining equipment efficiency, and upholding high standards of guest service.

Requirements

  • Sufficient experience, education, and job knowledge to meet current business needs.
  • Knowledgeable of mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Knowledgeable of plumbing, HVAC systems, kitchen equipment maintenance, refrigeration, heating, and carpentry.
  • Must be licensed in areas of interest electrical, HVAC including EPA certification, plumbing etc.
  • Strong kitchen equipment repair experience.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to kneel, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend at waist and lift to overhead.
  • Ability to stretch overhead and hold while on ground or ladder.
  • Must be able to work independently without supervision.
  • Vision ability to read labeling of chemicals, motors, and potential problems.
  • Auditory ability to hear and understand portable radio calls.
  • Must be able to determine safety issues, bring to attention of leaders and take corrective action if possible.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand English for safety and guest service purposes.
  • Identification that establishes identity.
  • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Performing all types of preventive maintenance, installation, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment, including boilers, refrigeration units, air handlers, generators, air compressors, kitchen equipment, bar equipment and their auxiliaries.
  • Performing cosmetic repairs and installations of all types including carpet, wallpaper, paint, ceiling materials, casino furniture, hotel furniture, and dining room furniture and all their associated materials and fixtures.
  • Installing and repairing all types of plumbing fixtures and associated piping.
  • Filing daily logs on reporting routine duties and repair requests properly.
  • Ensuring that all equipment in the physical plant is in good repair.
  • Implementing all maintenance projects, including, but not limited to replacement of air filters, lubrication of all pumps and motors, replacement of any belts, bearings or other mechanical parts and all lighting.
  • Providing preventative maintenance required by specific equipment manufacturers.
  • Responding to any service calls, as assigned by the dispatcher.
  • Operating and maintaining equipment and systems in the most cost and energy efficient manner available.
  • Maintaining a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Be Amazing Service Standards.
  • Adhering to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintaining an open line of communication with Managers.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.
  • Accepting performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Regular attendance on all scheduled shifts.
  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts.
