About The Position

As a QA Automation Engineer II, you will work on test automation projects to implement automated testing strategies, frameworks, and scripts for Concentra applications, improving software quality and usability. The role calls for intermediate programming skills, experience with automation tools, and the ability to work independently on automation projects. The engineer develops, maintains, and executes automated testing for user interfaces, APIs, databases, and applications across platforms and devices. The role includes maintaining frameworks, supporting complex cross-platform and cross-browser testing, reporting defects and testing results, and helping establish QA standards, roadmaps, reporting guidelines, and effectiveness metrics. The engineer collaborates with QA leadership and peers, reviews automated test code, communicates technical concepts to stakeholders, and keeps current with QA tools and practices. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; experience in lieu of the required education is acceptable.
2–4 years of experience in software quality engineering/testing roles.
2–4 years of experience developing and executing automated test frameworks, plans, strategies, and test cases.
2–4 years of experience testing software in a CI/CD environment.
2–4 years of automated testing experience with desktop and/or web applications developed using at least one of C#, Java, C, ASP.NET, Python, JavaScript, Power Builder, Web Services/API development, or WebLogic.
2–4 years of experience using project and test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.
Intermediate understanding of QA methodologies and processes, automated testing methodologies, and techniques.
Experience working on and maintaining UI testing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
Experience working on and maintaining API testing frameworks such as Karate or Rest-Assured.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum and SAFe, and of how automated QA testing fits into software development lifecycles.
Knowledge of QA testing methodologies and tools.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
Intermediate experience creating detailed QA documentation.
Experience with test case management tools such as Zephyr or TestRail.
Experience with source control systems such as GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
Intermediate SQL skills and basic API testing experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive test automation strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Assist in creating and implementing automated testing frameworks based on application needs; maintain and refactor frameworks and automated tests.
Research and recommend tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve automation efficiency, and adhere to QA automation best practices and standards.
Assist with planning and executing complex testing initiatives, including cross-platform and cross-browser testing.
Perform automated non-functional, functional, integration, and regression testing across platforms and devices.
Identify, document, and report software defects and inconsistencies using tools such as JIRA.
Conduct cross-functional testing with QE team members across applications and identify interdependencies to reduce testing risk.
Partner with QA leadership to define and prioritize automation efforts, identify framework gaps, create framework roadmaps, estimate testing efforts, and identify risks.
Help establish and enforce automated testing best practices, guidelines, and standards across applications.
Communicate complex QE concepts to non-technical stakeholders and review automated testing code written by QE peers.
Stay current with industry standards, tools, and techniques for software quality assurance.
Report testing progress, coverage, defects, and results to management and stakeholders.
Recommend improvements to QA automation processes and work with QA leadership to establish test reporting guidelines.
Establish KPIs and metrics to measure automation effectiveness.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and database testing.
Maintain proficiency with the company’s core applications.
