About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking an FPGA Verification Engineer II for its Applied Research and Technology (ART) Microelectronics Technology team. The role contributes to defense solutions across Mission Systems by applying chip-level verification methodologies to high-performance digital FPGAs. The engineer will architect and design verification environments using SystemVerilog with UVM/UVM-F; develop written test plans, test cases, and code and functional coverage tracking; and build testbenches to verify RTL blocks using VHDL or SystemVerilog. The role also collaborates with design engineers on FPGA integration and validation, provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, may lead project verification teams by planning work and reporting status, and contributes to engineering estimates for new program pursuits. The position is onsite in Fullerton, California. An active, transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance is required before the start date, and U.S. citizenship is required. The role offers an opportunity to learn Collins’ engineering processes and work with technologies developed in-house and by external vendors.
