Engineer II -Energy Efficiency
About The Position
We are seeking an Engineer II to join Cascade Energy! The Engineer II will work directly with our clients to assess their operations and identify opportunities for maximizing energy efficiency and performance in industrial systems. The Engineer II takes a consultative role, gathers data, creates optimization models of industrial systems and writes feasibility reports for energy efficiency projects while leading overall management of projects. The Engineer II also contributes to peer support and quality control review. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study
- 2 - 5 yrs of engineering experience
- Technical knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, custom computer modeling of systems, electrical distribution system design, industrial control and data-logging of system result
Nice To Haves
- Experience with industrial facilities and energy efficiency measures is highly preferred
- Experience from Industrial Assessment Centers is a plus
- Familiarity or experience in Python and data analysis
- Decarbonization audit/planning work
- Gas efficiency experience or experience working with industrial steam boilers
- Energy efficiency project management such as corporate or plant energy management background
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned projects, providing overall management, direction, and accountability from start to finish.
- Analyze industrial systems, collect performance data, and calculate energy savings using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Engage with clients onsite to understand operations, identify energy efficiency opportunities, and strengthen client relationships.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and prepare energy efficiency project reports based on findings and observations.
- Maintain understanding of utility program requirements and provide peer support through technical discussion and work review.
