About The Position

Our site in San Luis Obispo is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design, detailing, and documenting electrical and electro-mechanical systems used in Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas purification systems assembled at our facility.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to analyze data.
  • Experience using 3D modeling program (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Experience using 2D drafting program (Draftsight preferred).
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio)
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Detail oriented and strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to work with all levels of employees and management within the organization.
  • Comfort and ability to work within ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing
  • Electrical design of process or capital equipment

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical assemblies for new and legacy UHP gas purification systems.
  • Coordinate with the mechanical, software, and control system designers and other engineering teammates.
  • Size and select components as required to meet UHP gas purifier system requirements.
  • Create solid models, drawings, system schematics and other required documents to support development and production of systems.
  • Perform and document mathematical computations and other analysis as required to support product design.
  • Work with component suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure products meet design requirements.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
