Job Description: Develop, test and validate Embedded software solution for Microchip 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers using C/C++ Define and drive early Application Specific Software Product from concept through implementation readiness. Embed secure-by-design methodologies, ensuring alignment with Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and industry security standards. Collaborate with functional safety experts to ensure FuSa alignment (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or equivalent), including safety goals and architectural metrics. Enable Edge AI readiness, including real-time performance, low-latency data paths, power efficiency, and scalability considerations. Work cross-functionally with silicon design, system architecture, firmware, and security teams to ensure cohesive architectural decisions. Translate system and application requirements into robust hardware and pipeline architectures. Support architectural trade-off analysis covering performance, power, area, safety, and security. Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and roadmap planning. Contribute to documentation, architectural specifications, and design guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2.5 years of experience in embedded systems development, semiconductor or electronic product development, or a related field.
  • Hands-on programming experience in C/C++ and Python, with the ability to write production-quality or prototype-level code.
  • Strong experience in Microcontroller, Application Specific Software Product, or pipeline architecture development.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-disciplinary, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven knowledge of secure-by-design concepts, threat modeling, and hardware security fundamentals(Preferred).
  • Hands-on experience or strong understanding of Functional Safety (FuSa) requirements and standards(Preferred).
  • Familiarity with Edge AI architectures, including accelerators, real-time processing, and data movement(Preferred).
