About The Position

We are seeking an innovative Engineer II to design and implement a next-generation, AI-driven automation framework for UI and API testing. This role focuses on leveraging AI agents to generate, execute, and maintain test automation, enabling scalable, low-maintenance, and high-coverage testing aligned with real customer journeys.

Requirements

• Strong experience in UI and API test automation
• Hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, or similar tools
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration and JIRA
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AI-driven QA or autonomous testing platforms
• Exposure to self-healing test frameworks
• Knowledge of prompt engineering or guiding AI agents
• Previous experience in enterprise environments such as Amex

Responsibilities

• Build and scale a reusable automation framework for UI and API testing
• Enable AI-generated and AI-assisted test scripting using tools like GitHub Copilot
• Develop automation for end-to-end customer journeys (not just isolated test cases)
• Implement agent-based workflows where AI manages test creation, execution, and optimization
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Automate test reporting and defect tracking through JIRA with minimal manual intervention
• Design self-healing and intelligent test automation to improve coverage and reduce maintenance
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to align automation with real user scenarios
