About The Position

As an Engineer I you will work with a team of engineers to support the hardware delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies. Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system and quality requirements. Work with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products follow build-to-print drawing packages and specifications. You will report to the Manager, Safety HW Engineering & Drafting - Global I&C Production & IV&V and will be Hybrid in Warrendale, PA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design.
  • Awareness of typical industry standard drawings including P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, schematics, cabinet drawings and panel layouts.
  • Awareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry
  • Knowledge of lab equipment use (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator)
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Issue hardware design documentation such as cabinet layout drawings, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics for I&C products.
  • Manage Bill of Materials and revision control of design packages.
  • Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing and manufacturing of I&C hardware products.
  • Produce design, equipment, and specifications for Main Control Room hardware.
  • Work with manufacturing to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products follow build-to-print drawing packages and specifications.
  • Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system and quality requirements.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design or analysis of products.
