About The Position

Help design and support the electric infrastructure that powers our community. We are seeking motivated engineers at multiple experience levels to join our Substation Engineering team. Whether you are an entry-level engineer looking to grow your career or an experienced professional ready to lead major projects, this role offers the opportunity to work on impactful utility infrastructure projects in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Engineer I: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited preferred). Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply. FE certification preferred.
  • Engineer II: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 2 years of applicable engineering/design experience. FE certification required.
  • Engineer III: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 4 years of applicable substation or related design experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Engineer IV: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 8 years of electric substation design experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Candidates must be able to work effectively with diverse groups and adapt to evolving technologies and systems.
  • Employee must remain alert and aware of their surroundings at all times and maintain the ability to respond to changing circumstances in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support electric substation projects.
  • Assist with engineering studies, calculations, and technical specifications.
  • Support construction, maintenance, and system improvement projects.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and contractor coordination.
  • Develop and review engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other engineering software tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and outside agencies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns (Engineer III/IV).
