About The Position

Reporting to the Manager of Facility Planning West, this position continues to build knowledge of US Natural Gas (USNG) Commercial Operations through on the job assignments, working under minimal supervision and guidance from senior level engineers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 2–4 years of practical engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with fluid flow simulation tools (e.g., DNV Synergi Gas, Gregg Engineering, ProMax, or similar).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of a programming language (e.g., Python).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • General understanding of U.S. natural gas industry operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct system hydraulic analyses of existing assets to determine short and long-term pipeline capacities.
  • Establish and approve firm pipeline capacity for designated USNG assets.
  • Develop hydraulic models and perform data analysis to support facility improvement programs and emissions reduction initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for FERC regulatory filings related to assigned facilities.
  • Collaborate with Gas Control and other stakeholders to ensure efficient daily operations across multiple pipeline segments with varying requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and customers to plan, execute, and communicate maintenance and project activities impacting pipeline operations.
  • Design solutions aligned with commercial objectives, contracts, tariffs, and U.S. regulatory compliance standards.
  • Utilize hydraulic pipeline simulation software, historical data, and operational experience to provide input during project design and execution.
  • Develop and maintain data analysis tools, automate processes, and enhance reporting to optimize capacity and improve operational efficiency.
