Requirements

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Ability to provide technical advice and guidance throughout the design, commissioning, and operational phases of a nuclear facility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools and data analysis applications.

  • Completion of a 4 year University degree in Engineering from various disciplines including Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical & Nuclear.
  • For Engineer role: An Ontario Professional Engineering designation is required (P.Eng.).
  • For Engineer Trainee role: Required to be working towards a valid Professional Engineers of Ontario certification within a period of 4 years.

Responsibilities

  • Developing engineered solutions that support station operations, asset management, sustaining capital projects, and major capital initiatives.
  • Conducting technical design, engineering analyses, equipment specifications, digital engineering initiatives, and system improvements.
  • Protecting the plant's licensing and safety basis through safety analysis, risk assessments, fuel and reactor physics engineering, fitness-for-service evaluations, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Providing front-line engineering support to operations, maintenance, outages, and work management teams by resolving emergent issues, supporting work execution, and ensuring compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Supporting complex engineering projects from concept through execution.
  • Conducting field walkdowns.
  • Performing technical evaluations.
  • Developing engineering documentation and calculations.
