About The Position

Applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components; and quality testing. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems. This position is intended for the Hardware Integration group in Department E50. The individual will support hardware design, development, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of electronic equipment. Responsibilities will include supporting hardware qualification of vendor equipment, research and resolution of shipboard hardware problems, technical writing, and other efforts associated with the hardware group activities. This position regularly communicates with the Navy, NNL, and engineers/designers across departments via email, phone, and in person meetings. Strong written and oral communications skills are required. Experience with all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe is required. Experience with Shock and Vibration is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience; OR Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; OR Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe is required.
