About The Position

The Engineering Team at Talen Energy consists of several engineering professionals in several areas of the power plant. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other engineers to complete projects in assigned areas. At Talen Energy, your work fuels progress. In this role, you’ll do more than contribute you’ll drive meaningful change by assisting in the work on smaller engineering projects or well-defined areas of larger projects, using existing procedures to investigate, evaluate and assist in producing technically correct and cost-effective designs or recommendations that solve ongoing problems. You will build relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively. You will work under supervision in the field in a variety of functions in challenging but structured work that develops competencies in the discipline. You will gather and correlate basic engineering data using well defined engineering procedures which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems, and engineering studies. You will continually expand and improve your technical and business skill set with your own initiative with instruction, guidance, and direction from others. You will assist in a variety of topics including developing innovative procedures, and improved design recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university in discipline required by specific requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the work on smaller engineering projects or well-defined areas of larger projects.
