About The Position
Responsible for performing technical tasks, under direct supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations. The role may be filled at the Entry, Mid-level, or Senior level. The description lists an expected salary of $76,000 for the Entry Level. The employee assures engineering products are prepared in accordance with applicable procedures, safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements; performs assigned engineering and technical tasks; and supports nuclear engineering work functions. The role also participates in implementing effective processes and techniques in compliance with established programs, policies, and procedures. Other assignments may include emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (non-engineer); or an associate’s degree in a technical degree and at least 1 year of nuclear or related industry experience; or a high school diploma/GED and at least 2 years of nuclear experience.
- Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and meet favorable medical examination and/or testing requirements in accordance with position duties.
- Meet additional requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, “Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants.”
