About The Position

This position designs, develops, documents, and supports products that meet cost and schedule commitments, customer, compliance, and regulatory requirements, and Curbell's Quality Management System. The role designs and develops products for Curbell's customers and may lead small to midsize projects. It also supports enhancements to existing designs, including functional improvements and changes intended to improve product reliability or reduce cost. The engineer contributes to design verification and validation, improves design engineering processes, creates internal and external documentation, and maintains relationships with business partners, suppliers, and external engineering services. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate electrical design and analysis capabilities, including analog and digital design, circuit design and analysis, design for manufacturing, design for cost, design for test, design for standards, and basic software design.
Design and develop products for Curbell's customers.
Act as project lead on small to midsize projects and employ project management skills.
Use manual and automated tools to support the design process, including Altium, circuit simulation, spreadsheets, and statistical software.
Manage enhancements to existing designs, including functional improvements and changes to increase reliability or reduce product cost.
Manage functional aspects of projects, including design verification and validation.
Expand electrical engineering knowledge through outside training, learning from experienced peers, and interaction with outside suppliers and test facilities.
Identify and implement changes to Curbell's Quality Management System and other processes to improve the effectiveness of the design engineering department.
Create documentation for internal and external use.
Pursue and maintain technical and strategic relationships with business partners, suppliers, and external sources of engineering services.
Maintain basic knowledge of customer and supplier products and processes.
Resolve customer issues with limited supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
