About The Position

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. This position will support facilities projects and engineering team in either the plant engineering, project engineering, or crane engineering team. A Professional Engineer’s license is desirable. Candidate shall demonstrate thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, codes and standards for this position. Candidate shall possess the ability to create electrical designs independently as well oversee others in the evaluation, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex power and/or industrial control systems. Qualifications shall include the ability to develop project execution documents for estimating and planning complex projects and shall be capable of leading multidiscipline projects. Candidate shall have basic understanding of mechanical interfaces with electrical systems. The candidate shall be capable of solving problems in an organized manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, codes and standards
  • Basic understanding of mechanical interfaces with electrical systems

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer’s license
  • Basic MS Office suit and AutoCAD skills (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, peers and customers
  • Ability to use project scheduling tools
  • Understanding of the various types of submittations associated with a project
  • Understanding of legal and sourcing requirements
  • Ability to work in Autocad
  • Understanding of simple mechanical and structural drawings necessary to make informed decisions
