About The Position

The Propulsion Plant Engineering Activity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer 4 to join our team of talented professionals. As an Electrical Engineer 4, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative electrical systems and solutions that drive business growth and success. Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power systems, and control systems
Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 4 years of experience

Aircraft Carrier deckplate experience or prior military service
Motivated and results-driven individual, with a passion for electrical engineering and a desire to make a meaningful impact
Strong technical foundation, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Design and develop complex electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and electrical infrastructure
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliverables
Develop and implement testing and validation procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, using advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
